Thank you, Macon Telegraph

First of all, this letter (word-for-word) appeared in a recent issue of the Macon Telegraph. And I’m not sure what to make of it:

The Telegraph should be ashamed to use a huge headline endorsing housing.

People should always work for a living and if they don’t they should be rejected by society. Your liberal rag will always endorse the wrong thing.

This is the age the Bible tells us we will live in—when right is wrong and wrong is right.

Be prepared, because this may be the age you nonworkers should fear. You will be held accountable for your inactivity. You may even live in a police state as your leader fits the bill as the one who will cause this nation to become one out of fear if not necessity.

Americans are not as confident as they used to be. The policy of fear preys on the weak-minded. An example of this is how you approach a green light.

Instead of confidently going through it, you put on the brakes, thinking it may turn on you.

If Obama was a good leader, he would attack welfare instead of Social Security. Attacking Social Security is robbing the working class. And you wonder why we have tea parties.”

What do you think? Is it a joke? Is it serious? I’m trying to decide.
